MEET EPK’s NEW CO-DIRECTORS
Andy Doerrman will remain EPK’s primary director and can be reached at preschool.director@eumc-md.org Andy has a Master's degree in Special Education and worked for 33 years in education prior to coming to Epworth. Twenty-five of those 33 years, he was an Assistant Principal in Montgomery County Public Schools. He is the father of four children with his wife of 25+ years, Tammy, and has a special commitment to including all children.​​

With his extensive experience in education and his commitment to both his own family and the community, he leads our school with excellence and compassion.
Andy is dedicated to providing high-quality early childhood education that nurtures both the academic and social growth of each child.​

Karolina is the proud mother of Oskar and Gustav and the devoted wife of Raymond. Originally from Poland, she came to the United States as an au pair. She holds a Master of Arts in Administration of Security and Public Order from the Polish Naval Academy. In the U.S., Karolina has worked as a landscape designer and as a manager at Kiosk KASIA.​

Karolina brings a deep passion to Epworth Preschool & Kindergarten, where she is committed to fostering meaningful connections between parents and their children’s learning experiences. With a heart for building joyful community, she warmly invites others to share in that journey.

Rida Rizvi has worked as EPK’s Preschool Development Consultant for 1.5 years now. She was the co-founder and co-director of two preschools for many years, the primary being Al-Hadi Learning Organization. She will be one of Epworth’s co-directors assisting the primary director. Rida can be reached at codirector.preschool@eumc-md.org and will be focusing on marketing, enrollment, and the financial side of EPK.​

Jeanette Gray worked for MCPS as a special education teacher before she came to EPK where she spent more than 15 years as a beloved teacher. She has recently re-joined our staff as a Resource Teacher supporting students, teachers, and parents. She will be one of Epworth’s co-directors assisting the primary director. Gina Dawson
BOOKKEEPER
Gina Dawson has worked with Epworth since 2022. She currently serves as bookkeeper for all Epworth entities: Epworth UMC, Epworth Preschool and Kindergarten, and Epworth’s Ana A Brito Foundation.​
Gina holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Maryland, College Park. She has worked as a financial analyst for local companies and in the areas of discipleship. She is an excellent part of Epworth’s team.
